High quality rainfall data improves "at risk" awareness, real-time monitoring, planning and forecasting.
At the heart of OneRain's decision support solutions is the OneRain Harbor, offering secure 24/7 rainfall data services for high value applications including:

1. Rainfall Data Acquisition / Measurement
OneRain’s total systems approach to measuring rainfall includes data acquisition services and architectures for automated acquisition of data including:
Data acquisition includes radio or satellite telemetry with individual data monitoring sites or by interfacing with existing or third party data acquisition systems, data base connections and networks. Our one stop solution includes design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the entire measuring system. Archive of local gage data in the OneRain Harbor is also available for disaster recovery.
2. Quality Control / Assurance
OneRain uses industry standard techniques for data calibration. Our highest quality rainfall data, gage-adjusted radar rainfall, is provided as fully quality controlled and assured archive quality data. The data contains gage-adjusted radar rainfall estimates for each 5-minute period at each pixel on a 1 kilometer resolution grid. The data set is created by merging rain gage data with uncalibrated radar rainfall estimates. Raw radar rainfall estimates are thoroughly quality controlled and filtered to remove any discontinuities and anomalies before being calibrated with the gage data. The gage data is carefully quality controlled before the adjustment algorithm; questionable data is not used in the adjustment algorithm. The end result is an archive-quality dataset of gage-adjusted radar rainfall estimates.
Additional datasets are available in a variety of temporal/spatial resolutions and formats including basin averages, spatially averaged rainfall estimates and customer specific formats.
3. Data Hosting, Storage, Display& Distribution
OneRain delivers real-time rainfall and related data from its redundant 24/7 data centers using advanced automation and the company's proprietary and licensed software systems. The OneRain Harbor supports standard data (API) interfaces to provide hosting, archive and distribution of local and national weather data (NWS, METAR, USGS, etc.) for a true One Stop source for the record of rainfall in the United States.
Rainfall visualization is available via OneRain's Contrail® Web interface, our DIADvisor base station software and a variety of third party applications, models and solutions.
