New DIADvisor 2.8 Installation Instructions

1. Close all Windows programs.
2. When downloading DIADvisorSetup.exe from the website, save the file to a directory of your choice. When download is complete, double-click on the DIADvisorSetup.exe file to install application. Accept the defaults when possible. Reboot machine after installation.
3. Start DIADvisor from program group now listed on Start Menu. A program Registration screen will appear asking for your Customer Name, Customer ID, and program configuration details. You may obtain licensing information and the required registration codes by contacting OneRain Technical Support at (303) 774-2033 or techsupp@onerain.com.

Upgrading from DIADvisor 2.70

Before upgrading from DIADvisor 2.70, back up your current DIADvisor database. This is simply a precaution. The installation procedure should NOT overwrite an existing database.

1. When downloading DIADvisorSetup.exe from the web-site save the file to a directory of your choice. When download is complete, double-click on the DIADvisor.exe file to install application. Select the "Update DIADvisor" install option. Accept the defaults when possible. Reboot your machine after installation.
2. Start DIADvisor from program group now listed on Start Menu. It should start normally and re-registering the program should not be necessary.

Upgrading from DIADvisor 2.61

Before upgrading from DIADvisor 2.61, back up your current DIADvisor database and document the following parameters for your existing ALERT port(s):

• COM Port Number
• Baud Rate
• Port Quiet Limit (timeout period)
• Bit Settings

Note: This is simply a precaution. The installation procedure should NOT overwrite an existing database, or change port settings defined in the Windows Registry.

Close the following executables:

1. swatch25.exe
2. failover.exe
3. FPTUpload.exe
4. HTMLrpt.exe
5. LDADrpt.exe
6. monitor.exe (close from the Task Manager)

When downloading DIADvisor from the web-site save the file to a directory of your choice. When the download is complete, double-click on the DIADvisorSetup.exe file to upgrade to version 2.80.

Start DIADvisor from the program group now listed on the Start Menu. It should start normally and re-registering the program should not be necessary.

Upgrading from STORMWatch

There is not an option to upgrade to DIADvisor 2.80 from STORMWatch. The correct procedure is to unistall STORMWatch and then install DIADVisor 2.80.

Back up your current DIADvisor database (swatch2.mdb) and document the following parameters for your existing ALERT port(s):

• COM Port Number
• Baud Rate
• Port Quiet Limit (timeout period)
• Bit Settings

If running, close the following executables:

1. swatch25.exe
2. failover.exe
3. FPTUpload.exe
4. DvCollector.exe
5. monitor.exe (close from the Task Manager)

Uninstall STORMWatch

Install DIADvisor 2.80 and then reboot your machine.

Start DIADvisor from program group now listed on Start Menu. The program registration screen will appear asking for your Customer Name, Customer ID and program configuration details. The necessary information is located on your original CD label, or may be obtained by contacting OneRain Technical Support at (303) 774-2033 or techsupp@onerain.com.

DCS user's will need to redefine the information on the "File Import" tab.
